Nonconnah Corporate Center Memphis, Tennessee Completion: 1990 Area: 265,000 square feet Site & Program: The 12-acre site is located near the city’s airport. The program consists entirely of leased office space divided into several buildings for phased construction. Design: Nagle Hartray organized the buildings around a landscaped courtyard with pond that provides a respite on hot summer days. The brick-clad buildings establish an image of permanence and elegance unusual to this market. Stepped building corners increase the number of corner offices. The resulting campus environment appealed to the area’s largest company, FedEx, who leased the center for its corporate offices. Photography: ©Hedrich Blessing
