Bradley University
Global Communications Center
Peoria, Illinois

Completion: 1996

Area: 44,000 square feet

Site & Program: The program includes computer labs, classrooms, television production studios, video-conferencing and faculty offices. The site is on the Bradley University campus.

Design: Nagle Hartray organized the three story building around a sky-lit atrium that provides orientation between floors. Lab, studio and classroom adjacencies are carefully planned to meet the unusual technical and acoustical requirements.

The architecture derives from older university buildings on to the site. The massing and materials of the Global Communications Center, which is located nearer the edge of the campus, extends the sense of permanence from the core campus area.
